Preschool Program
From our two-year preschool to our five-year junior kindergarten, Central Learning Center Preschool provides a strong academic program. Lesson plans, which are given to parents each week, reflect a wide range of developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
These include:
• language arts • creative art • inside free play
• math • dramatic play • outside free play
• science • block building • social studies • music
Three year olds and older also enjoy time on the class computer. Class time and learning centers offer opportunities for these concepts to be incorporated into units of study. These experiences, as well as our Bible curriculum, help to enhance the child's understanding of God, himself and others, along with his cognitive development. Special instruction in music and Spanish and visits to the school library further enrich our students. Teachers are equipped with teaching aids from publishers who are producing the most current and effective curriculum. All of this works together to challenge and stimulate the child as he progresses from the basics of colors and shapes to knowledge in phonics and writing. Central Learning Center Preschool's curriculum is preparing our students to be excited and successful as they continue their educational adventure.
